Accomplished in fiction: Left the police station for a what-do-I-do-now type of walk through the city’s shadier corners. And of course, ran into some trouble.
Accomplished in life: Did a spot of grocery shopping this morning, but I forgot my list. Does that ever happen to you? I didn’t even try to rebuild the list in my mind. Instead I just decided to free-wheel it, roaming the aisles and picking up what seemed appropriate. When I got home I compared my purchases against the list and found I’d missed Quaker Oats, Head & Shoulders, and Hand Lotion. Not bad. The oats are a rare purchase–twice a year maybe? The shampoo and lotion are utility items and while they are regular recurrent purchases, they don’t come around as often as, say, Soy Milk, Eggs, or Orange Juice.
Other: Had a cocktail and a salad in Montevilla this afternoon, followed by a nap and then some word-smithing. Did my writing late in the evening tonight.
